How to get around Rome during the holidays

As usual, an integrated plan has been prepared for the end-of-year festivities, so as to encourage the use of public transport in the period 8 December 2021 - 9 January 2022. The service will be intensified in the 10.30 a.m. - 8.30 p.m. time slot on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 8 to 24 December 2021 and on 6, 8 and 9 January 2022. These services have been increased in particular for the lines going towards the city centre and on the days considered most affected by shopping trips (Saturdays, Sundays and midweek holidays). Line 119 will follow the usual route on public holidays: Piazza Venezia - Piazza del Popolo - Piazza Venezia and will run from 9.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m.. Metro lines: On 8, 11, 12, 18 and 19 December 2021, the A and B-B1 metro service will be intensified as follows: Line A: 8 trains added to the normal service. Line B/B1: 2/4 trains added to the normal service. 24, 25 and 31 December. 24 December: Surface and underground lines will run until 9:00 p.m. From 11:30 p.m. onwards the surface lines will run at night. 25 December: Surface and underground lines will run between 8:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. and between 4:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. 31 December: underground lines will run until 2:30 a.m. and surface lines until 9:00 p.m. The following bus lines will run until 2:30 a.m.: 128, 170, 200, 280, 301, 336, 544, 766, 881, 905, 2, 913. 1 January: The nMA, nMB, nMB1, nMC and nME bus lines will run from 2.30 a.m. to 8 a.m.. From 8 a.m. onwards, the underground network and the entire surface network will begin service. Until 31 December, those residing in Rome can - after registering with the SPID, CIE or CNS systems on buoniviaggioroma.romamobilita.it - take advantage (paying by credit card or debit card) of a 50% discount on the cost of the trip up to a maximum of € 20. The following can take advantage of this discount: women 18 to 26 years old, men 18 to 26 years old, the over 60s, disabled people over 18 who do not benefit from the services already provided by the Municipality.
