Metro maintenance, work in progress

New construction sites a stone's throw from metro stations A and B. Alongside major interventions, such as the metro C, the Capitoline administration is continuing the maintenance of the existing one. The Councillor for the City in Motion, Pietro Calabrese, has informed us of this. He underlines how archaeological and geognostic surveys have begun in many stations for the realization of the projects for the adaptation of the fire prevention systems of the two metro lines. Calabrese explains that "small construction sites have just been completed at Barberin" while those at the Bologna stop are "still in progress". The works include the extension of the technical rooms in order to modernize systems and installations. "Last year” explained the councillor “ we have undersigned an agreement with the Ministry of Transport that has given Rome 425 million euros to invest in the modernization of the metro lines".
