The areas near the Colosseum are subject to new rules, valid from Monday to Sunday, that include the need to purchase specific permits, as listed above:

B5 - 18 permits available every 30 minutes

B51 - 190 daily permits (95 available up to 1.30 pm and 95 available from 1.30 pm) *

B52 - 30 daily permits (15 available up to 1.30 pm and 15 available from 1.30 pm) *

B53 - 100 daily permits (50 available up to 1.30 pm and 50 available from 1.30 pm) *
-
B54 - 100 daily permits (50 available up to 1.30 pm and 50 available from 1.30 pm) *
These permits allow buses to approach the Colosseum and the Vatican areas. However, the total number of permits available for the Colosseum Area is tied to the number of tickets purchased for the Vatican Area.
Each permit is associated with a parking area and with one or more Colosseum parking areas used-for the hop-on-and-off passengers’ operations. The hop-on-and-off procedures must be booked at the time of permit’s purchase.
Outside the Colosseum and the Vatican areas, such permits follow the same rules valid for the permits A and B: they allow stops in the authorized short, hourly and long term areas.
* Issuing the permits B51-52-53-54 shall be granted within the limit of 18 permits purchased every 30 minutes at the hop on and off procedures’ Colosseum area. Purchasing the permits above allows to purchase other 30 minutes for the passengers hop on and off operations to spend also in a different short term area.

How long is it valid for?
Il permesso B5 ha validità giornaliera (00.01 - 24.00); i permessi B51, B52, B53 e B54 sono validi (per l'area Vaticana) la mattina fino alle 13.30 o il pomeriggio a partire dalle 13.30, mentre nell’area del Colosseo hanno validità giornaliera.
Can permit details be changed?
It is possible to change the details (terms of the authorization and vehicle registration) of a Multi Entry Card’s entry until 11.59 Pm of the day before the start of the service.
Il Carnet di ingressi può essere modificato (al costo di € 150,00 per ciascuna operazione) nei seguenti casi:

cambio di licenza (in caso di cambiamenti di una o più licenze abbinate a veicoli della flotta inserita in fase di richiesta del Carnet)
-
cambio ragione sociale (qualora il vettore, che non intenda utilizzare più il carnet in suo possesso, lo ceda ad altra società in possesso dei requisiti richiesti)
