On the Metro with your bike

Metrebus cardholders can take their bikes on the Metro for free. Those who don't have a Metrebus card must buy a ticket for the bike too. Folding bikes can be transported for free, every day at any time, while groups with more than 5 bikes should communicate their presence 24 hours in advance by calling 06 4695 4037 or sending an email to infomobilita@atac.roma.it, to receive the right assistance.

METRO A - B - B1 and C ALLOW BIKES:

  • On weekdays: from the beginning of service until 7am, from 10am to 12am and from 8pm until the end of service

  • On Saturdays, holidays and in August: during the whole service timetable

On Metro A-B-B1, passenger and bike are only allowed on the first carriage (the one with a red bike sticker on a white background). On Metro C passenger and bike are allowed on central carriages, recognisable by a sticker on the doors and must use the lifts to get to the platforms

ROMA LIDO

On weekdays:

  • To Ostia: from the beginning of service to 12.30am and from 8pm until the end of service

  • To Roma: from the beginning of service to 7am, from 10.30am to 1pm and from 4pm until the end of service.

On Saturdays, holidays and in August: passengers can carry their bike at any time in both directions.

Passenger and bike are only allowed on the first carriage (the one with a red bike sticker on a white background).

 

On buses and trains with your bike

You are allowed to take your bike on the following bus lines: 83, 118, 412, 673, 715, 772, 791, 911 and 120F and 180F (running on Sundays and holidays) and on low-floor jumbo tram on lines 2, 3, 8 (lines 5, 14 and 19 only if there are jumbo tram available) 

  • On weekdays: from the beginning of service until 7am, from 10am to 12am and from 8pm until the end of service 

  • Saturdays, holidays and in August: passengers can carry their bike at any time.

Bike friendly trams can be identified by a red bike sticker on a white background at stops and on accessible Jumbo trams. Metrebus cardholders can take their bikes, otherwise you need to buy a ticket for the bike too. Folding bikes can be transported for free every day at any time.
