Mobility Plan for Christmas: free public transport for four days

Free buses, trams and subways for four days, three free bus lines to reach the Center, two new Free1 and Free2 connections on the street from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Plus, longer hours for the City center and Trident Limited Traffic Zones, which will also be closed on Sundays.

The ones above are the crucial elements of the 2022 Plan for Christmas Mobility Interventions launched by the Gualtieri Administration. At the forefront is free travel. On Dec. 8, 11, 18 and 24, no ticket will be required to travel on the entire bus, tram and metro network. Three lines - 100, Free1 and Free2 - will always be free for users from Dec. 8 to Jan. 8.

In addition, the bus network directed towards the city centre and shopping centres will be increased in numbers during  December 8, 10, 11, 17 , 18 and 24 and as well as from Jan. 6 to Jan. 8 from 10.30 a.m. to 8.30 p.m..

During the same period, bus line 119 will also be extended to holidays. Enhancement days are also planned for the subways: on Dec. 8, 10, 11, 17, 18 and 24.

The City centre and Tridente Limited Traffic Zones will operate from Dec. 8 through Jan. 8 from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Sunday. The only exception is December 25, when the gates of the LTZ will remain open and access will be free.

Cab and ncc, 50 percent discount

Rome Travel Vouchers to be used for cab and NCC travel are back. For the entire month of December, there will be a 50 percent discount for Rome residents for a maximum of 20 euros per ride, a discount that rises to 100 percent for people with disabilities for a maximum of 40 euros per ride. Users can have 2 Travel Vouchers per day for a monthly maximum of 400 euros. To use the Voucher it is necessary to register on the website buonviaggioroma.romamobilita.it with Spid, Cie or Cns. Payments by credit card and ATM only.

A Christmas promotion is also planned for CarSharingRoma users. For new customers, a 20 euro bonus on future rentals is available for those who activate an individual or family contract between December 8 and January 8. For customers with an individual or family contract, there is a promotion on long rentals (from a minimum of 2 to a maximum of 15 consecutive days) with a daily rate of 40 Euro per day.

Dec. 24, Christmas and New Year's Eve: schedules

As for Dec. 24; the network of buses, trams and metro will be in service until 9 p.m. Metromare and Roma Nord metro service until 9:30 p.m. (utlima corsa). At 11:30 p.m. the nMA, nMB, nMB1, the nMC and the nME shuttles will be on the road. At midnight, the night lines will start running.

On December 25, the entire Atac and RomaTpl network, Roma Nord and Metromare will operate between 8.30-13 and 16.30-21 hours.

On New Year's Eve, buses and trams will run until 9 p.m., while metros will operate until 2.30 a.m. Then 11 other bus routes will be available to reach the metros, also until 2.30 a.m. The nMA, nMB, nMB1, the nMC and the nME shuttles will run until 8 a.m. on Jan. 1.

On the morning of Jan. 1; buses, trams, metro, Roma Nord and Metromare will resume operation from 8 a.m.
