Metro C, Piazza Venezia construction site started: what changes for buses

The construction site to build the "Venezia" station of Metro C enters into full swing.

From 10 a.m. on Monday, July 3, to allow the first phase of work to build the new stop, the sidewalk in Palazzo Venezia square, between Via del Plebiscito and Piazza San Marco, will be closed to pedestrian transit.

Find here how the public transportation service will change.

  • Line 119 will make its terminus at St. Mark's Square instead of Venice Square.
  • Stop number 70387 "Piazza Venezia," which is located on the square at the corner of St. Mark's Square, will be discontinued. Instead of this, the following may be used:
  • for line 51, new stop on Via del Corso before the outlet on Piazza Venezia;
  • lines 83, 160, 170 and n716 Aracoeli square, stop number 80610;
  • lines H, 63, 118D, 170, n5, n8, n716 via del Teatro Marcello, stop number 70540;
  • line 85 via dei Fori Imperiali, stop number 72104 (on holidays and the last Saturday of the month the stop to be used is via del Teatro Marcello, stop number 70540);
  • lines 60, 80, n5, n11, n90 and n543: terminus at Piazza Venezia.
