The new 724 bus line debuts The bus network in the Laurentino neighborhood will change from next Monday, Jan. 16. The new 724 bus line will be on the street and changes will be triggered for route numbers: 778, 779, 788 and 078. The new 724 line will provide the Fonte Ostiense and Ferratella neighborhoods with a direct connection to Metro B, Eur and Sant'Eugenio Hospital. The terminus will be at via Carlo Emilio Gadda. From there, the route will run on viale Marinetti, via Sapori and viale Silone, viale Carlo Levi and via Cristoforo Colombo. Then the route will continue on Viale Cesare Pavese and Viale dell'Umanesimo, then Sant'Eugenio and Metro B at Eur Fermi station, to stop at the other terminus: Piazzale dell'Agricoltura. Line 724 will run from Monday to Saturday. First and last runs will be at 6:30 a.m. (from Via Gadda) and 9:30 p.m. (from Eur), respectively.
SCHEDULES FOR THE NEW BUS LINE 724 IN DETAIL
From Piazzale dell'Agricoltura: from 7 a.m. to 9.30 p.m., with runs also at 6.20 a.m. (Saturday, 6.21 a.m.), 6.48 a.m. (Saturday, 6.51 a.m.) and 7.16 a.m. (not running on Saturdays) from Viale Marinetti/Joyce to Via Carlo Emilio Gadda. From via Carlo Emilio Gadda: from 6.30 a.m. to 9,00 p.m., also running at 6.44 (Saturday, 6.41) from Umanesimo/Ocean Atlantic to Agricoltura. Regarding the currently active connections but which will change routes, is the bus line 779 will become circular with a single terminus at Piazzale dell'Agricoltura. The changes will affect service within the Fonte Ostiense-Laurentino 38 area and deviations on the Viale della Tecnica- Viale Tupini route. As from next Monday, 779 line will no longer run on Colombo. More in detail, at Eur the 779 buses will run along Viale Beethoven, Viale America, Viale della Tecnica, Viale dell'Oceano Pacifico, Via Avignone instead of running along Viale America, Via Cristoforo Colombo and Viale dell'Oceano Pacifico. In the Laurentino 38 area, the 779 line will follow a counterclockwise circular route and from Viale Giorgio Ribotta the buses will travel along Viale Ignazio Silone, Via Francesco Sapori, Viale Filippo Tommaso Marinetti and Via Carlo Levi to return to Via Giorgio Ribotta.
The 078, will leave the section of its route on Vivanti-via Umile, diverting the route to viale Beata Vergine del Carmelo. The 778 line from a circular line will become double terminus: Eur-viale America (instead of via Laurentina) and Mostacciano-viale Beata Vergine del Carmelo. It will replace the 078 on via Vivanti-via Umile. Again regarding the 778 line: also from January 16, it no longer makes stops at : Laurentina station (number 72242); viale dell'Aeronautica (72920, 72921, 72883); via Laurentina (stop number 82613). In addition, the line is currently diverted due to the closure of via Nairobi. In the direction of Mostacciano, it will no longer make stops at via Caterina Troiani and stops at via di Decima, numbers 70288 and 70276. In the direction of Eur, the line will make a new stop at via delle Comete, 75 meters before via Caterina Troiani The 788 line will no longer run along Viale Egeo, which will continue to be served by the bus line 787, and will transit along Viale Tupini with a detour to Viale America, Viale Beethoven and Viale Europa to reach the Eur Palasport metro station.
For the 788 route, changes will also be made in the Mostacciano and Via Carucci areas. Specifically, in the Mostacciano area the 788 line will no longer make stops at Via degli Astri, Via dell'Orsa Minore and Via Caterina Troiani. Buses will transit on via di Decima. In addition, the 788 will no longer run along via Mario Carucci and via dei Boccabelli and will make new stops at via Laurentina, 80 meters after via dei Boccabelli, and at via Orazio Tedone.
