How many permits can be issued
according to a cap agreed upon by the Administration for the Police forces, the Public and/or semi-public Agencies, the Constitutional Bodies
according to the authorization granted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the Embassies and International Organizations
according to the request for stand-by workers, the security/investigation companies and workers in technological services
according to a cap established in a ratio of 1 to 10 for the trucks of the companies that carry out public services and of 1 to 1 for passenger cars
1 permit for doctors, journalists and sales representatives
1 permit for every 10 rooms available for hotel schools
3 permits for Universities, Insurance Institutes, business associations and the professional associations + number permits equal to those which may be approved by the Capitoline Administration
3 permits for the Banks + 1 permit for every 10 agencies located within LTZ zones
3 permits for the trade unions + 1 permit for every 500,000 enrolled members
3 permits for Political Parties + number of permits approved by the Administration according to the Parliamentary Representation
3 permits for Newspapers/news agencies + 1 permit for every journalist employed by the newspaper/agency
The citizen who resides and works in the LTZ zone - even when the working and residence LTZ zones are different (e.g. Historic Center and Trastevere) - can request a single permit with duration of one year providing access to both LTZ zones. For the release of the permit it is necessary to produce all the documents for the two permit categories (residence/domicile and type of work activity performed)

What allows you to do
Access, circulate and park free of charge, only during times of applicability of the limitations of transit, in the daytime LTZ "Historic City Center" (except for the LTZ A1 - Tridente) and "Trastevere".
For the Police and the Vatican, the granting of a permit is subject to the indication - confirmed by the head of the office of reference/top manager - of the access gate that will be used exclusively.

by mail, by sending your completed application form, a copy of the documents mentioned in it, and a copy of your identification document, to Roma Servizi per la Mobilità - Piazzale degli Archivi 40 - 00144 Rome
at the public teller's window, by presenting your completed application form, a copy of the documents referred to therein and a copy of your identity document and of any mandate plus a copy of the ID of the mandated person, if necessary
The sending of the request and of the documentation for the new permit is not sufficient to avoid administrative penalties. Owning the sticker constitutes the only authorization to enter the LTZ zone.

The amounts below are inclusive of the € 16 stamp duty (virtual stamp duty) and vary according to the fiscal power of the vehicle (measured in fiscal hp) and the type of the vehicle, as specified in the following tables:

From January 1st, 2015 Euro3 trucks (diesel and gas) cannot circulate in the LTZ Merchandise zone.
It is also possible to purchase a book of 50, 100 or 200 daily permits to access the LTZs of Rome for vehicles registered as trucks.
Contribution regularity
Issuing permits for trucks, except for those granted to residents, is subject to proof of regular contributions, via the single insurance payment contribution certificate - "DURC".
