The PETRA project (PErsonal TRansport Advisor) funded by the European Union under the Seventh Framework Programme, aims to develop a platform connecting transport companies to travelers for a shared knowledge of urban transport, an optimization of the use of urban transport in a multimodal network, and a proper planning.
Three cities (Rome, Venice and Tel Aviv), through different case studies, will implement and evaluate the platform to then host three demonstrations of an application for smartphones using the Petra system.
The main activity of Agenzia per la Mobilità is the requirements analysis (WP2) and the responsibility for demonstrating the Rome's version of the application, getting the stakeholders involved and making a large quantity of mobility data (both historical and real-time) available to the project for evaluation.
