WHAT IT ALLOWS YOU TO DO

• access and circulate in the listed LTZs only. Parking on the roadside is not allowed, it must be done inside your own parking space.
• for the School Transit, it is permissible to stop near the Institute for the ascent/descent of the passenger.

WHO CAN REQUEST IT?

Individuals, companies, associations, public bodies and / or public participation, residents / residents, businesses and holders of tertiary activities, or companies that operate in the trade of collector cars of particular value and value marked with test plates (as per D.G.C. No. 8 of 'May 8, 2018).

In any case, the applicant must have a seat, legal and/or operational; or a residence/domicile located a Rome’s LTZ and a parking space for the storage of the vehicle in the same LTZ, available for the same period of validity as the “permit sticker”. The only exception is the School Transit Permit to accompany one's own child to a school located in the City Centre LTZ or in the LTZ located in the Trastevere district, for which it is not necessary to have a parking space.

Finally, the perimeter streets of the Testaccio LTZ, with the exception of Via Galvani (in the stretch between Via Marmorata and Via Zabaglia) are NOT part of the LTZ and; therefore, those who have a parking space located in these streets cannot obtain a permit.

To reduce pollution

• Euro 0, 1 and 2 (petrol and diesel) and Euro 3 (diesel) vehicles from Monday to Friday CANNOT access or circulate within the railway loop.
• Vehicles with exclusively electric traction can circulate freely and free of charge within the LTZ after registration.

HOW MANY PERMITS CAN BE ISSUED?

• 1 for each parking space and vehicle available
• 1 for each pupil on the School Transit

The citizen who lives and works in the LTZs - even when different (City Centre and Trastevere) - can apply for a single permit with annual duration that allows access in both LTZs. For it to be issued  it is necessary to produce the entire documentation for these two categories of permit (residence/domicile and type of activity carried out).

DIESEL cycle vehicles with DUAL-FUEL and MIXED-FUEL fuel systems are not considered HYBRID.

With a fiscal power above 24 CV (above 2551.2 cubic centimetres of engine displacement)

DIESEL cycle vehicles with DUAL-FUEL and MIXED-FUEL fuel systems are not considered HYBRID.

HOW TO APPLY FOR A PERMIT

Transit

Sending the request and documentation for the new permit is not sufficient to avoid administrative penalties: only the possession of the permit constitutes authorization to access the LTZ. The presentation of a copy of the Single Document of Contributive Regularity (DURC) is MANDATORY.
