The ULaaDS project (Urban Logistics as a Demand), formally started on September 1° 2020, aims to identify and implement innovative logistics solutions that meet the growing needs arising from the "on-demand" economy, ensuring low-impact freight distribution operations.
Rome, as a satellite city, will apply the new toolkit created in ULaaDS and the overall methodology to co-create additional solutions relevant to the city, as well as schemes for potential experimentation:
- mini hubs for loading/unloading goods
- parcel lockers at major interchange parking lots and subway stops
