From July 28 to 30, the 2023 edition of the Rome’s Capitol Rally, the fifth round of the FIA European Rally Championship and the Sparco Italian Absolute Rally Championship. More than 90 crews from all over Europe are expected.
The opening ceremony will be held in Rome on July 28 with a parade of cars through the city streets and a special stage on a circuit made at Colle Oppio. The race will then leave the capital to travel more than 900 kilometres , over the course of three days in the Lazio region.
On the afternoon of July 28 after the free practice in Fumone, the rally cars will congregate (means they will all meet together in this place) on Piazza della Bocca della Verità and from there, with the escort of the Local Police, in groups of 15 cars will drive from 6 p.m. through the streets of the center to the Colosseum. From 8 p.m., the special stage will start with the competitive track carved out at Colle Oppio.
From 2 p.m. on July 27 and until event ceases on July 29, there is no parking on Via degli Annibaldi and Via Nicola Salvi, Via delle Terme di Tito, Largo della Polveriera, Via delle Terme di Traiano, a section of Viale del Monte Oppio.
From 8 p.m. on July 27 to 5 a.m. on July 28 and from noon on July 28 to 7 a.m. on July 29 for set-ups, route limitation, competition and dismantling of structures, the following streets will be closed to traffic:
via degli Annibaldi (except vehicles of residents of via del Fagutale, largo Peikov, via del Monte Oppio, via and largo della Polveriera, via delle Terme di Tito, via Eudossiana, piazza San Pietro in Vincoli and via delle Sette Sale)

via delle Terme di Tito
via delle Terme di Traiano, except local traffic between via Mecenate and number 2
in Via della Polveriera, traffic will be regulated with one-way traffic from Largo Peikov to Largo della Polveriera
in Via Equizia, mandatory left turn direction at the intersection with Viale del Monte Oppio, except for residents' vehicles in the section between Via Equizia and Via delle Sette Sale.
From 8 p.m. on July 27 to 6:30 a.m. on July 31, Viale del Monte Oppio between Via delle Terme di Tito and Via delle Terme di Traiano will be closed to traffic; Via delle Terme di Tito will close to buses and heavy vehicles more generally (greater than 3.5 tons); buses and heavy vehicles will be banned on Via Equizia; on Via delle Terme di Tito, the semi-lane, left side of the one-way street between house number 78 and Via del Monte Oppio will be closed to vehicular traffic.
